St. Louis attorney loses law license after faking legal documents

ST. LOUIS - A St. Louis attorney recently lost his law license after he was convicted of faking legal documents for dozens of clients. Andrew Gavin Wynne, pleaded guilty to five counts of identity theft earlier this year. Wynne was also ordered to pay $351,000 in restitution for losses suffered by his former law firm. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Wynne created bogus court orders, judgments, and emails while representing at least 30 clients in the St. Louis region. In one case dating back to July 2020, he emailed a client an order with a forged signature, claiming around $20,000 was owed to the client. Colorado-based Ball Corp. to sell renowned aerospace business to British company for $5.6 billion

Ball Corp., based in Colorado and a global producer of aluminum packaging for beverages, has agreed to sell its aerospace business to BAE Systems, a British arms, security and aerospace company, for $5.6 billion in cash.The deal will leverage recent investments by Ball Aerospace and Technologies Corp. in talent and facilities across the country and centered in Boulder, Broomfield and Westminster “to provide a multi-dimensional platform for vital national defense, intelligence, and science hardware, software, and space-based assets,” Daniel Fisher, Ball CEO and chairman, said in a statement Thursday.The transaction, subject to regulatory approvals and closing conditions, is expected to close in the first half of 2024. 8th bus carrying migrants from Texas arrives in Los Angeles

An eighth bus from Texas carrying asylum seekers arrived in Los Angeles Thursday morning, organizers said.A total of 40 migrants arrived at Union Station from Brownsville, Texas around 11:10 a.m. Thursday, according to the L.A. Welcomes Collective.The asylum seekers came from Venezuela, Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras, and 12 were children. A Kansas father is speaking out after he says a school bus driver struck and killed his 8-year-old daughter on Wednesday morning.Jasper Harper says his daughter, Harmoney Harper, and his oldest son had walked outside to wait for their bus when she was fatally struck.
