AUSTIN (KXAN) — A new rideshare company guaranteeing more income for drivers is hoping to gain more market share with more stringent security measures, and no surge pricing.Wridz can be found in Austin and 19 other regions around the country. AAA: 4 million Texans to travel for Thanksgiving this year

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Approximately four million Texans are projected to travel for Thanksgiving this year, AAA Texas said in a Sunday news release.This year's estimated travel volume is expected to be approximately 2% higher than 2022 numbers. Despite the slight uptick since last year's festivities, AAA Texas officials report these projections still mark a 4% decrease since the last pre-pandemic Thanksgiving in 2019. When’s the last time Texas went one day without a death on state roads? Nationally, this Thanksgiving is anticipated to be the third busiest holiday stretch that AAA has reported on record. ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- An Albany man has been arrested following a sex crimes investigation, according to state police. Tyler Smith, 26, is facing multiple charges. An investigation conducted by the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit and the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce determined that Smith allegedly promoted and possessed images of child sexual exploitation. On November 8, police executed a search warrant at Smith's home in Albany, which resulted in him being taken into custody. Smith was processed at SP Latham and charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Albany City Court on November 16 before being released.

Missouri hunters bag over 90,000 deer in November opening weekend

ST. LOUIS -- Missouri deer hunters had a solid start to the November firearms deer season, bagging a total of 90,334 deer during the opening weekend on Nov. 11 and 12. Of these, 53,159 were antlered bucks, 7,163 were button bucks, and 30,012 were does.Leading the harvest counts for the weekend were Franklin County with 2,114 deer, Texas County with 1,825, and Howell County with 1,726.MDC reported that this year's opening weekend harvest was in line with the average of the past five years. The students get excited to see them during special events like Trunk-or-Treat — and not just because they give big handfuls of candy.In short, Joshua Barringer, Christopher Livingston, and Jordan Puch have become very popular. That may be in part because Green Valley students — most of whom are Black and Hispanic — often don’t get to interact with Black male teachers like Barringer, Livingston, and Puch.“They love us.
