BENGALURU, India (AP) — Pacers Mukesh Kumar and Arshdeep Singh shared five wickets as India beat Australia by six runs in their fifth Twenty20 cricket international on Sunday to win the series 4-1.Kumar took 3-32 in four overs, while Singh (2-40) overturned an expensive spell with a fine last over as India restricted Australia to 154-8 in reply to 160-8.Shreyas Iyer hit 53 runs off 37 balls for India.India already had an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match series after it won the fourth game in Raipur by 20 runs. NEW YORK (AP) — A man killed four relatives, including two children, in a knife attack at their New York City home early Sunday, then set the building on fire and stabbed two police officers before one of them fatally shot him, officials said.The rampage took place before dawn at a house in Far Rockaway, a seaside section of Queens.Police were summoned to the home at about 5:10 a.m. when a “young female caller” dialed 911 and said her cousin was killing her family, the NYPD Chief of Department Jeffrey Maddrey said at a morning news briefing.When the officers pulled up to the driveway, they stopped a man leaving the area with luggage and after just a few seconds, he drew a knife and attacked.One of the officers was stabbed in the area of his neck and chest, the other was slashed in the head before one of them shot the assailant, Maddrey said. (AP) — New York Jets coach Robert Saleh and several team staffers, along with members of the Atlanta Falcons honored the late Greg Knapp by running the steps inside MetLife Stadium before the teams’ game Sunday.Knapp, a longtime NFL assistant coach, died on July 22, 2021, when he was hit by a car while riding a bicycle near his home in California. DA identifies man found with fatal knife wound outside Kowloon

FOXBORO — Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson had to be helped off of the field with a right leg injury late in the first quarter of the team’s Week 13 matchup with the Chargers.Stevenson is officially questionable to return with an ankle injury.Stevenson suffered the injury while fumbling on a hip-drop tackle by Chargers rookie outside linebacker Tuli Tuipulotu. Stevenson stayed down on the turf before being helped off of the field by trainers. He couldn’t put weight on his right leg as he was helped straight to the locker room.The Patriots have veteran running backs Ezekiel Elliott and Ty Montgomery on their gameday roster.
