(AP) — Top-ranked Georgia has renewed reason to have confidence in its offense as it prepares for a challenge against SEC East rival No. 14 Missouri on Saturday.Georgia played without its top receiver, tight end Brock Bowers, and still rolled to a 43-20 victory over Florida last week. Bowers leads Georgia with 41 receptions for 567 yards and four touchdowns and has rushed six times for 28 yards and another score. DENVER (KDVR) -- East Middle School in Aurora was temporarily placed on lockdown Monday afternoon after a report of a firearm, according to Aurora Police.The lockdown had been lifted as of 2:17 p.m., according to police, and the scene was being cleared.Police said officers were at the school investigating the report. As of 12:44 p.m., no weapons had been found.APD told FOX31 that a student reported that another student flashed a gun in his class, and then left.Officers were still trying to locate the kid and the gun, according to police.Aurora Public Schools said that, as of 12:53 p.m., all classrooms had been cleared and no weapons had been found.

AdventHealth Porter in Denver closed after loss of heating, hot water

DENVER (KDVR) -- AdventHealth Porter, a hospital in Denver, announced Monday afternoon that it had temporarily suspended all services and was closed to new patients due to a lack of hot water and heat from a failed boiler.The emergency department at the hospital was also closed.The hospital, which is located in the 2500 block of South Downing Street, was in the process of rescheduling all surgeries, and procedures scheduled from Monday through Wednesday, Nov. 1. Police said a caregiver was arrested in connection to the death of an 80-year-old man in southwest Miami-Dade.According to the arrest report, on Sunday, officers from the Miami-Dade Police Department and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to a call regarding a battery with injuries at the residence, located at 15001 Leisure Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim, an 80-year-old man, unresponsive in a bedroom and pronounced him deceased at the scene.Police said Joan Ramos, the victim’s caregiver, told investigators that he heard a scream from the victim’s bedroom around 1:00 a.m. and went to check on him. According to Ramos, the victim became combative and scratched him. Boyd Anderson High School was placed on lockdown following reports of a student potentially armed with a weapon on campus. Shortly before 3 p.m., Broward County Regional Communications received a report of a possible gun on campus at Boyd Anderson High School. In response, Broward County Sheriff’s Office deputies, along with detectives from BSO’s Threat Management unit, responded to the scene located at 3050 NW 41st Street in Lauderdale Lakes. A mentor for Shrewsbury High School was charged Monday in connection to child pornography charges, federal prosecutors announced.Brian Lingard, 60, of Shrewsbury, allegedly possessed and transported child pornography when earlier this month, he flew from Paris to Boston. Investigators found child sexual abuse material on his phone, including 23 images depicting children under the age of 10, prosecutors allege. Investigators also said they found videos of girls as young as 3 years old.His phone also contained multiple pictures taken surreptitiously of fully clothed girls’ buttocks in what appears to be a school setting, allegedly in Shrewsbury High School according to GPS data. Officials on Monday publicly identified the 19-year-old killed in a shooting on the campus of Worcester State University over the weekend.The shooting happened at 2:30 a.m. Saturday and initially prompted a shelter-in-place order.
